(Deep-Fried Fugu Fish. Fugu cuisine is a food culture of Western Japan.)

Currently I keep working on “Viva Food Culture” picture diary. I draw what I eat every day in watercolor, and write a short essay for that.

What started out as a simple record has recently become a reminder of many things. Food is directly connected to instinct. That’s why my instinctive and intuitive choices appear honestly on the drawing.

(From my Threads Post)

This is a snapshot of my choices in the life, observed from the perspective of food.

Subjectively, it’s my personal diary, but objectively, it will become a record of one person’s existence in the 21st century.

Sometimes I imagine – one day , when this small sketchbook will be discovered by someone over time. When the discoverer turns the page, the intersection of subjectivity and objectivity through food will appear, transcending time and space.

It’s still just an imagination.

But now, at this moment you are reading this text, the intersection of subjectivity and objectivity has appeared beyond the boundaries of the screen.

To you , standing at the intersection – What will be your choice to eat today?
